Happy 4th of July!!!!

Well the 4th is finally here and my Sister Robin and family is visiting me from South Dakota. It is so nice to be closer to family and have someone to celebrate the holidays with. We just moved from Maryland to Missouri and so far things are good. Great neighbors, nice friendly town. It feels more like home to me. We had a little fun in the kitchen last night and made up a beautiful 4th of July cake. It tasted as good as it looks. So if you need a cake for a special occasion give me a buzz.....

well it has been a busy couple of days all ready. Been hard at work baking for Birthdays, retirements and today just for the heck of it! I saw this cupcake a while ago on you tube and then the other day on the front of a magazine and just had to make it today. I AM IN LOVE... I cant stop looking at it. It is the cutest thing ever...Dont you think????They fit in my little single serve packaging just perfect.

Summer Fun

Well it's here. Summer at last. That can only mean pool parties,BBQ's and lot's of outdoor activities. I got my new cookie cutters and have been going to town. I just love all these bright fun colors.

Is it a cinnamon roll or a cookie????

Surprise It's a cookie. O M G is it good. I came across this recipe and just had to try it. I mean could it have turned out bad? I think not. Who doesn't love a good cinnamon roll. I have to say I could definitely eat these for breakfast.Apparently they were a hit at my husbands office, I sent him to work with 3 dozen or so and he came home at lunch with an empty tray.

cake pops???

whats all the buzz about lately with the cake pops....well I decided to find out and make some for myself. I tried em out on my own at first thinking how hard can this be...well the first batch was a hot mess to say the least.A big melty ooey gooey mess.
So I broke down and bought Bakerellas cake pops book(which is absolutely beautiful) and also watched her video. Come to find out there is a method to the madness.
Tips to remember are don't add to much frosting and melted chocolate chips do not work as a candy coating. Well it didn't work for me...
My new batch last night turned out great and they actually tasted good. So now I have a tray of these things sitting on my counter staring at me every time I pass by. I swear they are whispering to me "c'mon were so little one or two wont hurt you"...LOL time for them to visit the neighbors..

It's a marshmellowy day!!!

Of all things to try I decided on marshmallows. Don't we all like them in one form or another. Ice cream, smored, rice krispy treats. These are all just smaller versions that can be eaten any time without the guilt of a bucket of ice cream, a half pan of the krispy treats, or 2 or more smores..well I'm just saying.
